At STEM Camps Canada, we believe in nurturing young minds through immersive hands-on experiences that ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning. Guided by our philosophy that every child has the potential to excel in STEM given the right environment, our goal is to provide a supportive and stimulating atmosphere where campers can explore, create, and innovate.

As Albert Einstein famously said, "The only source of knowledge is experience," encapsulating our commitment to hands-on learning and the belief that real understanding comes from active engagement and of course, having FUN!

Our Mission & Vision

We are dedicated to serving our community with a clearly defined focus on fostering enthusiasm and proficiency in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. Our camp aims to provide enriching experiences for students aged 7-10 years old, igniting their passion for STEM subjects and empowering them with the knowledge and skills to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

Inspiring Curiosity: We aim to spark curiosity and wonder in our campers by offering hands-on experiences that captivate their interest and encourage them to ask questions about the world around them.

Fostering Creativity: Through engaging age-appropriate activities (think slime, tye dye and invisible ink) and collaborative projects, we strive to nurture the creative potential of campers, empowering them to think critically, problem-solve, and innovate, while also having lots of fun!

Promoting Collaboration: We emphasise the importance of teamwork and collaboration, providing opportunities for campers to work together, share ideas, and learn from one another.

Meet the Team

Founder and Director

Dr. Sarah Habibi, PhD

Sarah has a PhD in molecular biology, an Ontario Teacher Certification, and over 10 years of working experience in the STEM education space. She is committed to bringing more science into families' homes through the work she does online, in the media as a regular science expert on CTV’s The Good Stuff, in the children's STEAM activity book she published, and through the various outreach events she hosts for families in her community. Sarah founded STEM Camps Canada because she is a passionate scientist, educator and mother and is on a mission to help promote curiosity and learning through hands-on STEM activities for children all summer long.

Assistant Program Director

Lucy Doyle, MSc

Lucy is currently pursuing her PhD in Stem Cell Biology and has over 7 years of experience in childhood education, having held roles including camp counsellor and activities coordinator for various summer programs, as well as serving as a before-school care worker in her local primary school. Lucy is deeply committed to making STEM education accessible and engaging for families. She actively works to bring science into her community through primary school outreach initiatives and is currently working on her first children’s STEAM storybook which aims to empower children to explore, question, and discover the wonders of the world around them.
