STEM Camps Canada Camp Policies

Thank you for choosing STEM Camps Canada! Safety, fun, and growth are our top priorities. Our policies ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers. Please review this page to understand our guidelines regarding safety, behavior expectations, and procedures. Let's make unforgettable memories together while prioritizing the well-being of every child.

Acknowledgement of Risk and Release of Liability

Camp acknowledges no liability for injuries resulting from camper negligence, including but not limited to reckless behaviour, failure to follow safety guidelines and/or wear appropriate personal protective equipment provided, or disregard for supervision during activities such as elementary science experiments or outdoor activities within the playground. Campers and guardians accept full responsibility for personal actions and any resulting consequences, understanding the inherent risks associated with camp activities. Camp assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. It is strongly advised to leave valuable items at home, as the camp cannot guarantee their safety.

Camp employees are authorized and trained to act in their reasonable judgment in any situation requiring medical attention for each camper, including without limitation, administering first aid and, if necessary, calling an ambulance for transport to a nearby medical facility. The costs of any transport or medical treatment is the responsibility of the parent/gradian.

Photo Release

The Camp regularly takes photographs, audio recordings and videos of participating children to document and showcase the fun learning environments fostered. Upon registering your child in our summer camp, parents/gradians will be given the option to grant permission for the camp to use photos/videos of their child for promotional purposes on the camp's website and social media channels. We assure you that all content will be used responsibly and respectfully. Parents retain the right to revoke this permission at any time in writing.

Parents/Guardians may not take photographs, audio recordings, or videos of any other children, staff, or families at the Camp without their consent. Participating children are also prohibited from taking photographs, video, or audio recordings on personal or other devices, except during activities where the use of devices is permitted as part of a program.
